I came to this work the way most people come to healing, because I had to.

MY STORY

I didn’t choose trauma work as a career path. Life brought me face to face with it.

 

I know what it feels like when anxiety and depression are running the show and you don’t understand why. I know the confusion of being someone with a strong faith and a full life, and still struggling. For a long time, I thought something was wrong with me. It took years to understand that what I was carrying wasn’t a personal failing, it was the

impact of real experiences that had never been properly processed.

Anxiety that wouldn’t let up. Relationships where I disappeared. A birth experience that no one around me could hold. And a long stretch of wondering why I was still struggling when, on paper, I had every reason not to be.

 

It took me a long time to understand that what I was experiencing wasn’t a flaw. It wasn’t weakness. And it wasn’t something faith or willpower alone could resolve. It was my system doing exactly what it learned to do, and it needed a different kind of support to change.

 

That’s what led me to somatic work. And that’s what I offer the people I work with now, the thing I wish someone had offered me years earlier.

MY APPROACH

I work with what's underneath.

Most people who come to me have already tried to understand their problems. It didn’t change how they feel, how they react, or how they show up in relationships. That’s because what keeps most people stuck isn’t a thinking problem, it’s a nervous system problem. Your system learned to protect you in a certain way, and it’s still doing that even when you don’t need it to anymore. That’s what somatic work addresses.

 

My approach is body-based. We work with your stress responses, your patterns, your reactions — not just your story about them. We go at your pace. Nothing is forced. And most people feel something shift in the very first session not because of advice, but because their system finally gets to do what it’s been trying to do.
